We are in Province!

Hello from Nanjing, China! Right now we are staying at the Central Hotel on 75 Zhongshan Road. I gotta tell you, you'd think we were royalty the way everyone treats us. The Chinese people are fabulous. It's currently 10:00 am and we are scheduled to receive our new little boy in 4-1/2 hours. Wow! Are 6 lives going to change!

Our flight to Beijing went very well. The first part of the 14 hour trip was kinda slow, but the second half seemed to really go much more quickly. Dan brought his gadgets to keep him busy and I brought a skein of yarn, crochet hook and a book. We both brought pillows. We kept thinking about how it would have been had the kids come with us...what they'd be saying and thinking. One of the funniest parts of the flight was about 3 hours before landing when the attendants brought out the Ramen noodles and hot water. The Chinese people DEVOURED them! It made us laugh.

We've slept alot, thinking that may make up for the upcoming "possibility" of some sleepless nights. Why not take advantage of the opportunity? HA!

Thanks Candi, Lisa and Barb for taking such good care of our precious children at home. (And, thank you for all of you on stand-by.) We trust you to address any emergency - even those of the electrical flavor. Oh, for anybody reading this, we've been told Ohio Edison delivered a power surge that - of all things - took out our furnace and television electronics the day we left town! God is good, though. Sisler Heating and Cooling 'just happened to have' what was cooked and had the GeoThermal back up and running within 45 minutes! I only hope what's left of the 'fund' is enough to last the next 7 or so days. (We promise to reinburse, gals!) Bet you never imagined you'd be signing up for THAT crisis, did you? I know I didn't! You all are amazing.

Gonna go pack the diaper bag. I'm out of practice, so it may take some time to get it right.

Love you all -
Dan and Wendy
